The Top 5 Hallmark Christmas Movies

It’s that time of year to curl up with a mug of hot chocolate and a cheesy Christmas movie.

Normally viewers don’t tolerate marginal acting and somewhat predictable plots…unless it happens to be Christmas time. Then all bets are off. Who doesn’t love to get their warm-fuzzies by watching a good ol’ Hallmark Christmas movie?

So, if you’re ready to get in the Christmas spirit, here are the top 5 Hallmark Christmas movies according to how often they are viewed.

#1 Christmas Under Wraps

A doctor moves to the remote, festive town of Garland, Alaska, for what she thinks is a temporary job as the local physician and is quickly charmed by a handsome local who soon starts to show her the importance of living in the moment and enjoying her unexpected adventure—and whose father may be hiding a major secret in his holiday shipping warehouse.

#2 My Christmas Love

A hopeless romantic who is less than lucky in love starts receiving '12 Days of Christmas' gifts anonymously at her door, leading her on a hunt to figure out who the mystery suitor is and if she’s finally found love where least expected.

#3 Journey Back To Christmas

A World War II era nurse is magically transported to modern day at Christmastime and discovers that the true meaning of Christmas is timeless, with the help of a man who shows her the bonds of family and love.

#4 A Royal Christmas

A young woman who is a devoted seamstress at her father’s tailoring business finds out her doting European boyfriend is actually a prince. She travels to his home over Christmas to find a less-than-enthused mother, Queen Isadora, who makes her feel more at home with the servants than the royal family.

#5 The Christmas Card

A soldier finds himself falling for a woman who sent him an anonymous Christmas card while he was serving in Afghanistan, but he struggles to win her heart with her boyfriend still in the picture.

My personal favorite isn't a Hallmark movie per se, but it is a Lifetime movie that follows the same formula, so I have to mention it. The Spirit of Christmas is a must see if you love Hallmark movies. Here's a blurb:

Kate, a workaholic lawyer, has three weeks to get a haunted bed and breakfast appraised and sold. The uncooperative manager claims a spirit who lives there will not approve. With Kate's possible promotion resting on accomplishing this task, she checks in and haggles with the aforesaid Christmas spirit, who suspiciously seems awfully solid for a ghost.
