Resolutions or Revolution?

Big changes most often start with small increments.

I don’t do resolutions. But don’t worry if you are the resolutiony type of animal. No judgment here because I used to do them myself. The thing is that the older I get the more I realize that it’s not the grandiose ideas of change that actually change me or the world. Those kinds of changes most often fall by the wayside.

It’s the small things that add up. Want to lose weight? Skip that Oreo today. Have a relationship that needs mending? Spend some time praying about it. Anxious to bring about world peace? Invite that quirky neighbor everyone avoids over for a cup o’ joe.

You don’t have to wait until January 1st to hit the reset button on your life nor do you have to do anything drastic. A simple act of kindness today is the start of a new world for tomorrow.
