Criticism as a Catalyst

Haters are going to hate, yet that doesn't mean you must absorb that hatred.

There's no getting around it. When someone says or writes something hurtful, either intentionally or unintentionally, those words still hurt. We can all agree on that.

The controversy comes in as to what to do with those words. Some people find joy in striking back. Others prefer the fetal position and a good cry. But I propose a third option: use those negative words to get fired up to work all the harder, to become better and stronger. Think of criticism as a springboard to launch you into bigger and better things.

Yeah, I know. Easy to say. Hard to do. I agree. It is. But that doesn't mean it's not possible. Shed some tears if you must, then move on with your life and use that forward momentum for greatness.
