Cover Reveal and a Giveaway
Cover Reveal for The House at the End of the Moor
I know, I know. You’re tired. Too much turkey. Too much shopping. Too much holiday hoopla. So, how about you take a short break. Grab a cup of tea, light a candle, and chill out for a moment. I’ll provide the reading entertainment while you relax.
My next release comes out on April 1st (not fooling) 2020. The House at the End of the Moor has somewhat of a Jane Eyre feel to it, with its moors and mysterious characters full of secrets. Here’s a blurb:
Dartmoor, England 1870
She’s on the run from her past, he’s on the run from the law. . .but no one can run forever.
All her life, Maggie Lee has defied the odds, rising from poverty and obscurity to becoming one of Victorian England’s most accomplished opera singers. But fame opens the door to demons she never expected to face. Forsaking the limelight, she flees to the rugged countryside of Devon where few dare to settle, which suits her just fine. No one in the village knows her. No one visits. And more importantly, no one from her days on the stage has any idea of where she’s at.
Yet everything changes the day she discovers a half-dead man lying on the scrublands.
Battered. Beaten. But more determined than ever, convict Oliver Ward escapes the infamous Dartmoor prison—barely. He collapses at the end of the moor and is taken in by a mysterious woman who is as much of an enigma as himself. It’s only a matter of time before the authorities find him, but will it be enough for him to be able to prove his innocence? Maggie Lee just might be the key to exposing the injustice of his incarceration, but to do so means she must reveal herself as well.
In a world of vice and deception, Oliver and Maggie must learn to trust each other—and God.
So, now that your interest is piqued, want to see the cover?
But it’s really not fair to tempt you like this and then say, “Sorry! You’ll have to wait until April 1st.” I’m guessing you need some sort of gratification now, eh? So, how about a giveaway of a copy of my current new release, Once Upon a Dickens Christmas? But not just a regular giveaway. A special one.
I’m giving away 10 copies along with 5 “Second Chance” coins for each book. What’s that, you ask? Great question! Each tale in the collection features a Second Chance coin, wherein the hero or heroine decides to use it to give someone undeserving a second chance…just like God did for us when He sent his Son at Christmas. My publisher, Barbour, had these sweet coins made up just for the occasion.
So, sign up to win your very own book and coins right here, right now…and if you win, be sure to let me know who you end up giving the second chance coins to. I’m sure you’ll have a great story of your own!
