Trading Fear for Risk
What if you weren't afraid of being wrong?
Being wrong is like wearing a wool scarf that’s way too tight. It chokes. It chafes. It’s kind of scratchy and you can’t breathe right. Nobody actually likes to be in the wrong.
But that doesn’t mean you have to be afraid of it.
Let’s look at the flip side—being right. What if being right isn’t the end goal? Because it’s not always. Sometimes it’s more important to simply be than to be right.
It comes down to this…fear of being wrong is a killer of creativity because you won’t take risks. And if you risk nothing, you gain nothing. Sure, you might lose. You might fail. But you’ll never succeed if you don’t go out on a limb and try new things.
