Staying the Course

Tunnel vision isn't always bad…sometimes it's a blessing.

When a trainer puts blinders on a horse, it’s for the horse’s good. Blinders prevent the horse from seeing behind or beside him, preventing the animal from becoming distracted or panicked by what’s happening nearby.

Some days, I could sure use a pair of blinders.

It can be discouraging when those around you are naysayers, spreading negativity and dragging you down. Next time that happens, whip out your own pair of blinders. You don’t have to listen to them. You don’t have to focus on the negativity around you. You don’t have to be panicked or distracted.

Stay the course. You do you. If others want to flip out around you, that’s their problem. Don’t make it yours.
