Drawn by the Current
The Sinking of the SS Eastland
Shipwrecks don’t just happen in oceans. The Great Lakes have their share as well. In 1915 just outside of Chicago, while still tied to a dock in the Chicago River, the SS Eastland rolled onto its side and killed a total of 844 passengers and crew. It was the largest loss of life from a single shipwreck on the Great Lakes…a gruesome fact which makes for an intriguing tale in Drawn by the Current, the latest in Jocelyn Green’s Windy City Saga. And don’t worry if you haven’t yet read the other two. You’ll still enjoy this one!
