Cover Reveal: Lost in Darkness
Regency-Era Gothic Romance
Frankenstein. What does that name conjure up in your mind? A Mel Brooks monster singing Puttin’ on the Ritz with a top hat and cane? Or maybe a Boris Karloff creature on the big screen in black and white? Either way, none of the movies do the book justice. At all. Not even close.
Personally, I happen to love Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. It raises questions of what the creation owes the creator, what should the creator’s relationship be to his creation, and the like. It also raises questions in my mind such as how did a teenager write such a philosophical book and where did she get the inspiration for her monster?
And that, my friends, was how Lost in Darkness was born. I wanted to explore what might’ve been Mary Shelley’s impetus for imagining such a misshapen beast. Here is a blurb about my next book that releases November 1st…
Even if there be monsters, there is none so fierce as that which resides in man’s own heart.
Travel writer Amelia Balfour’s dream of touring Egypt is halted when she receives news of a revolutionary new surgery for her grotesquely disfigured brother. This could change everything, and it does. . .in the worst possible way.
Surgeon Graham Lambert has suspicions about the doctor he’s gone into practice with, but he can’t stop him from operating on Amelia’s brother. Will he be too late to prevent the man’s death? Or to reveal his true feelings for Amelia before she sails to Cairo?
Sound interesting? Good news. You can pre-order yours HERE.
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the cover for this little gem Drum roll, please. Oh, and let’s not forget an excessive cymbal crash while we’re at it, eh?
And there you have it. Lost in Darkness will be coming to a bookstore near you next fall. Enjoy, readers!
