Attitude

Sometimes giving thanks not only seems too big to grab hold of,
it's too ludicrous to even consider.
Who in their right mind gives thanks
when a child is stillborn,
a mate is given to cancer,
a home and dreams are burned up by fire?
Who can possibly be thankful
in the white-hot angry times?
I don't know how to do it.
I can't.
Good thing Jesus didn't have that attitude.
